Another creature from the gloomy corridors and caverns of Dungeon Slayers. The design of the purple worm was inspired first, by the subterranean baddies from the 1990 cult classic “Tremors” and second from the purple worm, a low level enemy from the isometric computer game “Dungeon Master”. I do know that there is in fact a similarly named creature from classic Dungeons and Dragons, but I didn’t know about that one when I did this illustration.
