Often when Hello Games releases an update to the game it’s accompanied by a community expedition and if you complete all the tasks therein you’re rewarded with unique items. These items can be new weapons, costume updates or even a new ship type to use in game.

The reward ship in the “Cursed” expedition happened to be, first, a departure from the normal style ships that are usually seen in the game as it was more akin to a flying saucer and second, it had a more than passing resemblance to a very famous starship from an equally famous franchise.

Though it wasn’t identical I still couldn’t help making an overt reference to the similarities.
