Update
Often when game companies release new content for their product they’re met with mixed reviews. Players either love the new additions or think that things could have been handled better, features that weren’t added should have been or for whatever reason it just doesn’t meet up with their expectations. And those people are welcome to their opinions as often they’ve had to shell out more money beyond the initial cost of the game.
Hello Games, however, has never once in the over eight years of the game’s release and the over forty major updates to the game, have they once asked for more money. Everything they add, working tirelessly to bring a newer and better experience to the player has every cost extra.
So when Hello Games released the “Orbital” update with all redesigned space stations, new lighting and major overhaul to the game play all for free, and was met with the same tired “you could have done more” argument from some players I thought I would do a Low Orbit illustrating my low opinion of such arguments.
